One of my comics will be displayed in the Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery this Sunday! For over 6 years I’ve drawn a weekly web comic for the Dysautonomia Foundation called “No Tears: Life With FD.” FD stands for Familial Dysautonomia, a rare Jewish genetic neurological disorder that effects the sensory and autonomic nervous systems. The comic’s title has a double meaning - one of the symptoms of FD is the absence of overflow tears / corneal drying. The title also encourages FD patients and their families to have hope through their daily struggles. Topics in the comic series range from dealing with specific FD situations, like Crisis, to social scenarios of persons with disabilities, and more. The comic has always had a light-hearted and touching theme focusing on the closeness of families.
This is the comic that will be featured! For the past few years, I’ve been writing the scripts as well, and this strip was inspired by my love of music.
Here’s the eventbrite for the show opening.

The show will run for a month but I’ll be at the opening this Sunday Feb 10 from 1-5pm. Please stop by to hear some panel discussions and see some influential Jewish art! Very excited to be a part of this show!
